Is the Nature of Humankind Good or Evil?

I believe the nature of humankind is good.  It’s good because we can all live together and not fight and steal things from each other.  Some people are bad and steal things and hurt people, but most people are good to each other.  If humankind were not good, we should probably live alone in the forest like animals, but because we talk to each other and share ideas, we have figured out how to make things.  We can make houses and cities, cars and roads, telephones and televisions.  If people weren’t good, we couldn’t share all of these things with each other.

Humankind have families that love each other and help each other when they are sick.  If the family can’t always help, the rest of the people in the town are there to help.  There are policemen, firemen, and doctors that are always there to help take care of people.  If humankind were evil instead of good, there would be none of these people to help us out when we need them.

Humankind is also good because the rich people help the poor people.   The farmers grow more food than they need to help feed people.  The old people teach the young people how to do things and be good.  If we were more evil than good, nobody would help anybody try to learn things and help other people.

If humankind was not good by nature, the world would be a place I wouldn’t want to live in, but since it is good and people help each other, we can all have fun.
