Is the Pen Mightier than the Sword?

I believe that the pen is mightier then the sword. The pen represents words and the sword represents violence. This means that words are more powerful than violence. If we use words, we can be kind to one another. But if we use violence, we can hurt people instead.

Words can explain big things. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. had the “I Have a Dream” speech. People from all over America came to hear it. He told people that someday white and black children would play together. He made a smart choice by choosing words rather then violence. If Martin Luther King Jr. had chosen violence, black and white people might be fighting even now!

Words can also convince people better than violence. For example, if you want somebody to listen to you, you could use words and explain your ideas. But if you choose violence, you could end up making them angry or sad.
