Truth or beauty, which has a greater impact on society?

Beauty is only skin deep
It’s seen from the outside
But truth is what really counts
And it is on the inside

What good are luscious locks
And sparkling eyes
If all the person ever tells
Are lies, lies, lies?

What good is a nice shiny car
That the salesman tries to sell you?
You won’t get very far
But sadly he doesn’t tell you!

The TV says you can be skinny
With their amazing diet pill
But when you went to try it
It only made you ill!

The lesson to be learned
Is very simple indeed
Truth is better than beauty
Just like giving is better than greed.
