Compassion for You and Me

Everyday I attend school
Learning new things everyday
I play soccer at recess abiding by the rules at the playground
When my friends get mad I smile and say, “it’s alright.”
No revenge in my mind
No revenge to see
No revenge to embrace
I play soccer to learn how to play with my friends.
I kick compassion across the field right into the goalie.
Compassion across the grassy field
Spreading compassion
No revenge in my heart.
No revenge to see
It is all about compassion for you and me.
