2018 – 2nd Grade National 3rd Place Winner

Yasmeen Benlhabib, Minnesota.

I think deceit is more powerful because deceit is basically lying. Lying isn't nice because you are not telling the truth. Lies can make people believe in lies and not believe in the truth because you are keeping secrets. Telling the truth is better. Also lying to people can make you want to do it more but in the end you regret doing it and feel bad. If I were to lie I would tell the truth eventually and my Mom would be disappointed. If I told the truth after I lie, my Mom would thank me  for telling her because it makes her happy that I regretted lying to her. If one of my friends lied to me I would be disappointed that they kept the truth from me and concealed the truth.
